Neurological rehabilitation

Neurological rehabilitation concerns patients with hemiplegia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease or other neurological impairments with a central or peripheral origin. Directed by Prof. Julien Bogousslavsky, a worldwide renowned specialist, the neurological rehabilitation centre at Clinique Valmont offers state-of-the-art services to restore or maintain faculties of oral expression, memory, thought and mobility which may be affected by stroke.
Depending on his or her individual case, the patient is cared for by stationary or ambulant treatment.
Clinique Valmont offers treatment for patients affected by Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer screening tests:
The neuropsychologist helps address memory disorders by providing custom-tailored rehabilitation treatment.
The speech therapist treats difficulties in oral expression, particularly common in the wake of strokes or Parkinson's disease.
The physiotherapist and the occupational therapist complete the treatment by maintaining the patient's physical capacities and by teaching him or her the appropriate movements adapted to the trauma. Their objective is to maintain the highest level of function and to adopt automatic skills to enhance the patient's autonomy.
The dietician and the sophrologist assist the patient during his or her treatment.
